Polska take a shock early lead on 8 minutes as Tom Lane scores, with the incoming Dave Cox making a huge difference. Boro score two late in the first half making it 2-1 at half time before Lane equalises on 65 minutes. Boro are too strong though, and add four more late on.

This game saw the infamous 'WHICH MOUND?' incident where keeper Dean Hall had to choose to climb up one of three mounds behind the Polska goal to retrieve the ball. The ball was lodged in the middle one, but, you guessed it, Hall climbed both the left and right one first, despite his team mates telling him where it was placed. The angrier he got, the funnier it became!
