 Match Report

LEICESTER POLSKA produced a fantastic performance to thrash a demorlaised and aggressive Kingsway Celtic side. Polska spent most of the first half in the Kingsway half, and on 20 minutes Mark Inglis picked up a through ball from Rich Ellis, only to see the Kingsway keeper tip his effort round the post. Adam Dyke then scored his first goal for the club from the resulting corner, a comfortable header. Chris Rudkin then saw a free kick float over the bar on 25 minutes. Mark Inglis then scored Polska's second on 28 minutes, being put through after great work by Chris Rudkin, and running into the Kingsway box before slotting past the keeper. Inglis then put Polska 3-0 up on 33 minutes, turning past the Kingsway keeper and slotting home after a great ball from Polska debutant Andy Ilnicki. Adam Dyke then saw two shots go over the bar, one on 42 minutes, the next a minute later from a Mark Inglis pass. In the second half, the Kingsway keeper palmed a Ross Grocock shot wide on 53 minutes, then Inglis grabbed his hat trick and put Polska 4-0 up on 57 minutes from an Adam Dyke through ball. Then on 70 minutes, Inglis grabbed his fourth and Polska's fifth after slotting past the keeper following a tremendous pass from Chris Rudkin. Grocock then shot over the bar from a Rudkin pass on 76 minutes. A minute later, sub Guy Javis saw a curling shot go just wide, then Adam Dyke grabbed his second two minutes from time after a quality pass from sub Jamie White. The Polska win was soured somewhat by the expectation that Kingsway may well resign from the league shortly, as well as Savvo Wieczorek storming out of Knighton Park just minutes into the game.
