On a very boggy pitch that was barely passed fit, Polska adapted to the conditions better than their hosts to record a stunning victory which could prove hugely significant in the second half of the season. Polska started strongly, and after just 8 minutes Marek Dziopa was fouled, and Maciek Wiesniewski scored from the resulting free kick. Two minutes later, Polska were 2-0 up after Savo Wieczorek was given an easy chance to score from a Lukasz Tabaka pass. Fairfield then came into the game with Spider Pajak producing a wonder save halfway through the first 45. Sav then scored his second and Polska's third on 37 minutes from a Dziopa corner, before Lukasz Tabaka scored in his 5th consecutive game to make it 4-0 on 44 minutes. Jake Wain then pulled one back for the hosts just seconds before half time. In the second half, Dynamo came out the traps strongly, but Polska managed to weather the storm due to some excellent defending. On 72 minutes, Maciek Wiesniewski received a straight red card for retaliation, but still Polska looked the stronger, and Sav finally got the fifth on 81 minutes to make it 5-1 to Polska, his first hat trick since 2006. Player Ratings: PAJAK: Was solid throughout, couldn't quite get to the ball for the Fairfield goal. PRZERWA: Phenomenal game, how he was missed against Webbys last week. WASIK: Worked very hard down the left hand side, and played well. WYSOCZANSKI: Carried on his good form from last week, played a very tricky winger very well. ALAN CHATER: Strong defensive performance and marshalled the back line well. MARK CHATER: outstanding in the air, another that was sorely missed last week. DZIOPA: Pulled his usual strings on a very difficult pitch. OSIPINSKI: Got stuck in strongly, played well. WIESNIEWSKI: Had a good game before needlessly getting sent off. Fortunately his absence was overcome. WIECZOREK: Great hat trick his first since 2006. TABAKA: Scored a good individual goal before coming off at half time. OSMAN: Youngster made his debut in second half. |
