Season 1997-98

Polska were now a different side to the one that had been easily undone by Rovers 12 months earlier, and Steve Whait inspired the reds to a good home win. Rovers had a brief moment of hope when scoring right at the death, but it was never going to be enough against a team finishing their season with a flourish.
