 Match Report

Leicester Polska came from behind against second placed Cosby, to take 4 points off the promotion hopefuls this season. Polska grew into the game in the first half, with Spider only having 2 proper saves to make, but a lot of Polska's chances were off target until the got stronger in the final 20 minutes before half time. Coming out 0-0 for the second half, Polska failed to clear a Cosby throw in on 56 minutes, with Spider's initial save being followed up Cosby to make it 1-0. But Polska then put pressure on the Cosby defence, with Max Sieczka (making his first appearance since November) and Patryk Szczyczyk working well down both flanks, and Sav, Piotr, Dawid and Marek trying to take on the Cosby central defenders. On 63 minutes, Patryk's pass to Marek resulted in Marek finishing smartly to make it 1-1 - his 23rd Polska goal. Unfortunately, Cosby seemed to then push on, and Polska were unable to kill the game off, and Cosby were arguably the stronger side in the second half, with a draw the right result. The result illustrates the good work the Polska defence are doing - 3 goals conceded in 3 games, and although they are 7th in the table, their defence is the 4th best in the division. They need to make more of their chances, as they have scored fewer than any other team.

Sub: Procinski for Wieczorek (86 minutes)
