This was the game that cemented Tom Lane's reputation as Polska's main man of the 90s and beyond. Tom scored SIX GOALS past the brittle City Sportsman defence, despite playing a quarter of the game in a full on hailstorm. Polska like their forwards to be ruthless, and this proved to be the case as when Polska were awarded a penalty in the 89th minute, Griff pleaded with Tom to let him take it, saying that he had already scored 5. Tom refused and buried it for the double hat trick. The other goals came from John Garden, and a first ever goal from Paul 'Animal' Eames.
