 Match Report

A vastly changed Leicester Polska side went down 6-2 to a Tom Hill inspired second half hat trick against Saffron Lounge Bar. In an end to end game, Polska found themselves 1-0 up after Marek Dziopa put a delicious through ball through to debutant Scott Morton who made no mistake on 15 minutes. Earlier, Tomek Mlynarczak, another making his debut, missed a glorious opportunity to make it 1-0, stabbing the ball wide when clean through. Saffron themselves had a number of chances in the first half, but man of the match Andzrej Podburalczynski was in great form. Saffron soon used Hill's skill to put themselves in front, scoring from a corner on 52 minutes, then a long ball over the top on 62. Rudkin, O'Keeffe and Barnett also scored. Saffron went 3-1 up on 70 minutes, minutes earlier Polska had a chance scrambled away when looking like possibly making it 3-2. Saffron went 4-1 up a minute later, before Mlynarczak scored on 72 minutes to make it 4-2 when switched to the wide left. Kragulec then got caught in possession on the edge of his area for Saffron to go 5-2 up, before making it 6-2 on 87 minutes. Polska lost their way badly in the second half in the face of some considerable clout from Hill, and now remain unsuccessful at home this season, their losing run stretching for 5 games.

PLAYER PERFORMANCES:

PODBURALCZYNSKI: Made some excellent saves, and was alert all game. Could have been more damage but for him

CRANE: Playing in a totally alien left back position, so did well considering the pace he was up against

PAJAK: Again won his headers, and plenty of no nonsense clearances

KRAGULEC: Solid in the air. Gave away the 4th goal which was his only downside of a good game.

WYSOCZANSKI: Up against a pacy left winger, but stuck to his task well

DZIOPA: Set up the first goal with an exceptional pass, but then held on to the ball too long and was frustrating

A CHATER: Tried hard to get involved, had a solid game

MORTON: Scored with a neat finish on his debut, not enough of the ball, replaced on 69 minutes

MLYNARCZAK: Missed an easy early chance, but made up for it with a goal later on. Booked. Replaced 85th minute

GODZIEBIEWSKI: Quiet game, didn't get a handle on the second half. Replaced 85th minute.

WIECZOREK: Produced a great save from the Saffron keeper second half. Looked isolated up front.

CARLIN: Not enough of the ball to make an impact.

PROCINSKI: Played last 5 minutes

YOUNG: Played last 5 minutes
