POLSKA will be kicking themselves after dropping their first points of the season after being 2-0 up at half time. Polska were fairly dominant in the first half, and after having 3 shots cleared off the line, Savo Wieczorek put the visitors up on 22 minutes - first goal of the season, and since January 2012, ending a run of 1342 minutes without a goal. Radek Gaglewski then put Polska 2-0 up on 26 minutes after Alan Chater's clearance caught Magna on the break. Polska were hugely unlucky when the referee decided against what looked a stonewall Maciek Wisniewski penalty on 35 minutes when he was brought down in the Magna box. Magna stepped up their pace in the second half, and Polska were pushed back too often. Lee Heywood made it 2-1 on 54 minutes - although Polska might have a case for a free kick against Wisniewski who was caught 3 times on the ankles before Magna got their cross in for Heywood to score - but if the ref doesn't give it you still have the defend the attempt on goal. Haywood then got the equaliser with just 5 minutes to go after Spider Pajak inexplicably failed to come for a ball that he seemingly had to just step up and catch. PLAYER RATINGS: PAJAK: Didn't put a foot wrong until making a howler for Magna's second goal. CHATER: Solid performance from Alan who is looking like a centre half more and more each week! PRZERWA: Another excellent performance from the Polska left back. CRANE: His best Polska performance for 10 years, won every header and was totally solid at the back. GAGLEWSKI: Equalled Mark Inglis' record of scoring in 8 consecutive games. DZIOPA: Put some great passes together this week. OSIPINSKI: Played at right back, and did really well GAWLIK: Tremendous energy, didn't quite maintain that level in the second half. WIESNIEWSKI: Tried hard, should have had a penalty first half. TABAKA: Dragged the Magna defenders around first half, but recent scoring run came to an end. WIECZOREK: Scored only his 3rd goal of 2012, subbed second half.
